This 2013 Viognier was 100% cold fermented in stainless steel tanks. This star
bright Viognier’s bouquet explodes with aromas of tropical fruits, lychee,
fresh white peach, honeysuckle and crushed acacia flower. The palate is
extremely refreshing with vibrant flavors of red grapefruit, limeade and
apricot flowing into a lush kumquat, Meyer lemon and spiced pineapple finish.
This fragrant, mineral-driven white is a quintessential example of Viognier’s
varietal characteristics at its best. This crisp, flavorful wine is best drunk
2013 Flying Nymph Red
Our intrepid traveler alights in Paso Robles on an
oasis where the air, light, and vines beckon to renew and refresh, where
kismet has led us to till a dream. Idealistic and visionary, our Flying
Nymph celebrates freedom on this romantic flight of fancy. We invite you
to share the journey and discover the essence of our wine. 47% Mourvedre,
46% Grenache, 7% Syrah.
Delicate and medium-bodied, yet showcasing the classic elements of Cass
Vineyard, the 2011 Grenache leans towards the spicier side of the variety with
baking spice, bergamont tea, and pink peppercorn aromatics framed up by bright
red strawberry and touches of old world meatiness. Medium-bodied and driven by
sour cherry and strawberry jam on the palate, it showcases a satiny mouthfeel
with bright acid and bursts of rose water and orange oil. The fruit echoes on
the finish with warm notes and moderate tannins.
2012 Rockin' One
Stewed black cherry, cracked black pepper, star anise, and subtle hints of
vanilla bean emanate from this seamless blend of 60% Mourvèdre, 23% Syrah,
10% Petite Sirah and 7% Grenache. The mid-palate showcases ripe dark fruit,
roasted hazelnuts, black licorice and traces of campfire smoke. Nuances of
toffee, aged leather, cinnamon spice and sweet spearmint complete this
blend's long finish. Enjoy now until 2020.
2011 Cabernet Sauvignon
76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Petit Verdot, 7% Malbec.
The aromatics are downright huge on the entry, filled with warm winter
spice notes of cinnamon and clove that accompany baked plum, currant,
cassis, and cedar. The palate is a full bore, mouth-coating experience
of baked black cherry, cola, licorice, red plum, and fig jam. Consistent
with the nose are flavors of warm spices, complemented by high notes of
brown sugar and wintergreen. Soft and full, the tannins are sweet and
integrated, showing good mid palate traction and a spicy body that
trails off with a burst of melted cherry. A classic Cabernet from Cass
and clearly one of the most outstanding in recent years.
